In today’s digital world, it may be hard sometimes to keep up with all the passcodes in your mind. Did you forget an important password again? We hear you. Ausweis designed a simple and easy password recovery method. Just follow this short step-by-step tutorial and we’ll get you covered.

Tutorial:

First of all, run an application as you normally would and slide to open. If you are entering wrong credentials, you will see the following notice (left screenshot for Android users, right one - for iOS users):

You would want to tap the FORGOT PASSWORD button. This action will redirect you to your account on my.ausweis.io and you will see the Password Reset screen.

In the provided space, you would want to enter your valid email address, under which you registered in Ausweis. Then, tap Reset My Password. You would also want to provide an email you have access to as we will immediately send a link to you.

Run your email app and open an email from Ausweis. In it, you will see the green Reset Your Password button - tap on it and you will be redirected back to your account on my.ausweis.io.

In the opened window, type your newly created password. It should be 8 characters including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. Retype your password and tap Change Password.

Congratulations! Now you have a new password.

You can either exit your browser and log in the app, or proceed with the login process here.

Enter your credentials as you normally would and tap Sign In.
